As pressure mounts on Cuomo and former Mayor Eric Adams, who has shifted his position to back Cuomo’s independent campaign, the landscape remains fluid. Billionaires and influential figures, including John Catsimatidis and Bill Ackman, have urged candidates to vacate the race, suggesting they clear the field to solidify support for Cuomo.
The recent Fox News poll, conducted from October 10 to 14, showcases Mamdani’s significant lead amongst likely voters. The survey indicates he commands a 21-point advantage, boasting 49% support while Cuomo trails at 28% and Curtis Sliwa, the Republican nominee, holds 13%.
Moreover, Mamdani has convincingly surpassed the 50% threshold among likely voters, capturing 52% support to Cuomo’s 28% and Sliwa’s 14%. The growing strength of Mamdani’s campaign as early voting begins sets the stage for a fierce and compelling election season ahead.
