Fox News Media officially ushered in the holiday season on Friday with its sixth annual All-American Christmas Tree lighting ceremony, held live from Fox Square in New York City. This cherished event captivates viewers and celebrates the spirit of giving and togetherness during the festive season.
Leading the ceremony were the dynamic co-hosts of The Five, including Dana Perino, Greg Gutfeld, Jesse Watters, Jessica Tarlov, and Fox & Friends’ Lawrence Jones. Their chemistry added a lively atmosphere to the event, further enhancing its festive charm.
The centerpiece of the evening, the All-American Christmas Tree, soared to an impressive height of 50 feet and was adorned with over 300,000 lights and nearly 20,000 ornaments. Atop the tree sat a stunning six-foot dove, illuminated by an additional 4,800 lights. This impressive display was crafted by American Christmas, a respected holiday lighting and display company based in Mount Vernon, New York.
As part of the ceremony, Rev. Franklin Graham and Cardinal Timothy Dolan delivered heartfelt prayers, complemented by a meaningful message from Rabbi Kalman Samuels from Jerusalem. These contributions reinforced the themes of peace and unity that resonate deeply during this festive period.
Bringing a musical touch to the celebration, Fox News’ Steve Doocy joined Grammy-winning Christian music artist Chris Tomlin and the Christian Culture Center Choir in a series of uplifting performances. The audience was treated to timeless holiday classics such as Angels We Have Heard on High, Christmas Day, Silent Night, and Joy to the World. Tomlin reflected on how profoundly powerful these moments were, recalling his previous performance at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service earlier this year.
A variety of notable figures from the Fox News Media family graced the ceremony with their presence. Attendees included well-known personalities such as Martha MacCallum, Bill Hemmer, Ainsley Earhardt, Brian Kilmeade, and many others. Their participation underscores the community spirit that Fox News aims to cultivate during the holidays.
The excitement continued as Santa Claus made a special appearance, delighting children in attendance by asking them about their Christmas wishes. This interaction brought smiles and embodying the joy of the holiday season.
In the true spirit of the holidays, Fox News Media partnered with Samaritan’s Purse and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys For Tots program. This initiative aims to spread joy to underprivileged children, and to date, Fox News employees have generously donated over 2,000 gifts for this noble cause. Viewers at home also have the opportunity to contribute to the Toys For Tots program.
This annual tree lighting ceremony symbolizes more than just a festive event; it fosters a sense of community by bringing people together. As the holiday season approaches, events like these remind us all of the importance of giving, sharing joy, and nurturing hope. Fox News Media not only entertains but also engages viewers in meaningful discussions about charity and togetherness.
The All-American Christmas Tree stands as a beacon of light during the holiday season, showcasing the beauty of our shared humanity and the spirit of Christmas.
