Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin addressed the current situation in comments made to Fox News Digital on Friday. She stated, “Since January 20, we have recorded 99 vehicle attacks against DHS law enforcement officers, accompanied by a shocking 1,000% increase in overall assaults, and an 8,000% spike in death threats directed at ICE agents. The rise in these attacks is being driven by the persistent demonization of ICE and CBP personnel by Democrat politicians. They need to cease this rhetoric to prevent further endangerment of our officers.”

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, whose city ranks second in targeted areas behind Los Angeles, has consistently labeled Trump as a racist and characterizes ICE agents as terrorists. His remarks extend to comments made on a recent podcast, where he drew parallels between attacks on illegal immigrants and the political maneuvers reminiscent of the antebellum period.

Johnson asserted, “The deliberate attacks from the Trump administration and the extreme right reflect a desire to relitigate the Civil War. They have yet to accept that the North won.”
