As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, many reflect on gratitude for family, freedom, and the blessings of being part of this great nation. For countless Bible-believing Christians, there is also a profound appreciation for the eternal promises of God, the miracle of the modern State of Israel, and the sacred bond that connects us with the Jewish people.
With antisemitism escalating globally, it is crucial for Christians to take a stand. Voices of intolerance, exemplified by figures like Nick Fuentes, should not be dismissed. The horrors of the Holocaust initiated with a small group of extreme malcontents who were initially not believed to pose a significant threat. The inaction of many, including many mainstream Christians, allowed a wave of suffering that remains unmatched in history. We must learn from these lessons and ensure we do not repeat the mistakes of the past.
Our relationship with the Jewish community is more than a political issue; we are one family, united by faith and bound together by God’s unbreakable promises.
The foundation of our commitment to Israel lies in the Abrahamic covenant. Through this covenant, God made clear His promise to Abraham, indicating that he would use his descendants, the Jewish people, who would reside in a specific land, Israel, to bless all nations. In Genesis, God commands Abraham, “I will make you into a great nation… and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you” (Genesis 12:2-3).
