The home of Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo was vandalized shortly after the team suffered a 24-15 defeat against the Chicago Bears. This incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning in Moorestown, New Jersey, as reported by the Moorestown Police Department.
A video circulating on social media shows individuals throwing eggs at Patullo’s residence. Initial reactions suggested that rocks were being hurled, but police later confirmed that eggs were the projectiles used in the act of vandalism. An investigation is currently underway to identify those responsible for this incident.
This vandalism reflects the heightened emotions of Eagles fans who have expressed discontent with the team’s performance, especially during the ongoing 2025 season. Despite holding an 8-4 record, Eagles fans have significantly criticized the offense, particularly after the team’s lackluster display at Lincoln Financial Field on Black Friday.
After the disappointing home game, the Eagles faced audible backlash from their own supporters. Fans booed the team as they left the field, highlighting their dissatisfaction with the offensive strategy and execution.
The team’s offensive struggles have drawn attention all season as they currently rank 24th in yards per game at 304.8 yards, 23rd in passing with 196.3 yards, and 22nd in rushing with 108.5 yards. Furthermore, they are positioned 19th in scoring, averaging 22.5 points per game.
Despite having a roster filled with talent, the Eagles’ offense has failed to capitalize. Quarterback Jalen Hurts, who was celebrated as the Super Bowl MVP last season, has not found the same rhythm in 2025. While he has thrown for 2,514 yards, 19 touchdowns, and only two interceptions, his current QBR marks a decline compared to his performance since becoming a full-time starter in 2021.
Additionally, Saquon Barkley, who led the league with 2,005 rushing yards last season, has seen a significant drop in his performance this year. After averaging 5.8 yards per carry in 2024, he now averages only 3.7 yards, which is below his usual standard. As of now, Barkley has recorded just four touchdowns and accumulated 740 rushing yards on 198 carries.
The situation is further complicated by off-the-field controversies involving star receiver A.J. Brown. Despite scoring twice during the loss to the Bears, Brown’s cryptic remarks about his targets have drawn attention. Coach Nick Sirianni expressed frustration during press conferences regarding the persistent questioning about Brown’s performance and demeanor.
Last season, the Eagles were an electrifying offensive unit under the guidance of Kellen Moore, who has since taken the head coach position with the New Orleans Saints. As the team navigates through its current challenges, Coach Sirianni confirmed that Patullo would maintain his role as the play caller, even after evaluating the latest loss.
The Eagles have a crucial matchup ahead, as they prepare to face the Los Angeles Chargers next Monday. This game will serve as an opportunity for the team to regroup and showcase improvements in their offensive performance.
This season has undoubtedly tested the resilience of both the Eagles team and its loyal fanbase. As fans express their frustration, the team’s leadership must address their concerns while striving to enhance on-field performance. Moving forward, they aim to convert this intense pressure into motivation to rebound from recent setbacks.
Effective communication with fans and transparency regarding the team’s strategic adjustments will be vital. The upcoming weeks will reveal if the Eagles can regain their offensive momentum, satisfy their frustrated supporters, and ultimately secure a brighter trajectory for the remainder of the season.
