In an exclusive statement to OutKick, Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker firmly denies any wrongdoing amid serious allegations. Tucker asserts, “I maintain I did not act inappropriately at any point before, during, or after a professional bodywork treatment session, nor have I ever been told I am unwelcome at any massage therapy provider. These claims are simply not true.” This statement marks Tucker’s first public comments since the allegations emerged.
Since January, a total of 16 massage therapists have accused Tucker of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior during treatments from 2012 to 2016 at eight different spas in Baltimore and surrounding areas. The initial report from The Banner highlighted six accusers on January 30.
Recently, NFL investigators have conducted inquiries in Baltimore, speaking with various accusers. While the Ravens organization could not be reached for comment, general manager Eric DeCosta addressed the allegations at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, labeling them as serious and concerning.
Tucker, alongside his legal team led by Joe Terry from Williams & Connolly, categorically denies all allegations, emphasizing their commitment to clearing his name. “Throughout the last four weeks, I have spent countless hours replaying every interaction I have had with bodywork professionals over the last thirteen years,” Tucker stated. “I can assure whoever is reading this that I have never intended to disrespect anyone, cross any boundary, or make anyone feel uncomfortable in any way whatsoever.”
Tucker expressed deep concern about the allegations, stating, “It devastates me to know that anyone I have worked with would not have felt respected and valued as a professional, but more importantly as a person.” He further vows to ensure that everyone he interacts with feels respected and valued.
Tucker’s involvement with massage therapy began in 2012 during his rookie season. At that time, the Ravens did not provide massage therapy services. After years of seeking treatment at various local spas, Tucker transitioned to in-house sessions from RPMotion Therapy, LLC, in the summer of 2016, following his move to the Baltimore suburbs with his wife, Amanda.
One specific allegation comes from a therapist who claimed Tucker repeatedly exposed himself during a massage at the Ritz-Carlton Residences in 2013. According to reports, the therapist employed an intense technique in an attempt to make him stop, stating, “It was like a game for him.” She also alleged that Tucker left behind what she believed to be ejaculate after their sessions.
In response to these serious allegations, Tucker’s counsel has referenced sworn statements from previous Ritz-Carlton spa owners who dispute the claims made against him. Additionally, they have pointed to Tucker’s meticulous record-keeping of his massage sessions, which reportedly demonstrates his consistent attendance at various salons well after the alleged incidents.
In a notable instance highlighted by Tucker’s legal team, he visited the QG salon in downtown Baltimore 14 times post-allegations. An email statement from one of the accusers even indicated that working with Tucker had been “a pleasure” when he canceled his membership on January 5, 2016.
Tucker’s legal representatives have also denied claims made by the owners of the now-closed Studio 921 and Ojas salons, asserting he was banned based on alleged inappropriate behavior. The owner of Apothecary was the only other spa owner to confirm hearing complaints about Tucker, according to reports.
As detailed by Tucker’s legal counsel, he received treatments at Ojas seven times in 2014 and visited Studio 921 18 times between 2013 and 2015. An accusation from a therapist at Studio 921 alleged that Tucker was “erect for most of the massage session and regularly sought to expose his genitals.” Reports of his banning from that establishment were challenged by Tucker’s lawyers, who noted that Studio 921 featured a promotional image of him on their Trip Advisor page a year after the alleged ban.
In light of the accusations, Tucker’s wife, Amanda, expressed unwavering support for her husband. She remarked, “The false allegations against Justin have caused so much hurt to our family. I believe my husband, and I love and support him fully.”
When approached for comment, attorneys Michael Belsky and Catherine Dickinson, representing the majority of Tucker’s accusers, indicated that they do not represent spa owners but rather the affected therapists. They suggested that questions about the owners’ conduct in response to complaints should be directed toward them.
Justin Tucker’s complete statement reads as follows: “From the moment I first arrived in Baltimore in 2012, I felt embraced and supported by this amazing community, which I have come to love so much. Both on and off the football field, I have strived to reciprocate that love and support through hard work and dedication to my sport. I have sought to treat everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect, and to set the type of positive example that makes my family proud to call me a father, husband, and friend and encourages members of this community to be proud to call me one of their own. It is with all of that in mind that the allegations against me are so shocking and heart-breaking. I maintain I did not act inappropriately and these claims are simply not true.”
Tucker continues to express his commitment to maintaining respectful relationships with those he interacts with. His statement underscores the importance he places on mutual respect, both within and outside his professional sphere.
