Steph Curry Makes NBA History as First Player to Achieve 4,000 Career 3-Pointers

Steph Curry has continued to establish his legacy in professional basketball during the recent game where the Golden State Warriors secured a commanding 130-104 victory against the Sacramento Kings. This notable achievement highlights how Curry has set himself apart in the NBA record books.

In a historic moment, Curry became the first player in NBA history to reach the milestone of 4,000 career 3-pointers. He made this landmark shot with 8:19 remaining in the third quarter. A well-timed pass from Moses Moody led to the moment when Curry executed a classic pump-fake, took a quick dribble, and rose up to sink the contested three-pointer.

Following this significant achievement, the Warriors took a timeout to play a heartfelt video message from Andris Biedrins, a former center of the team who had the privilege of assisting on Curry’s first-ever 3-pointer. This gesture created a nostalgic and emotional atmosphere among both players and fans.

Curry reflected on the moment, saying, “I’d call it an emotional moment on the bench when I saw (Biedrins). They didn’t tell me they found him and got a video message from him. That was my vet when I was here my rookie year.” He added, “I would love to have quizzed our team on the bench and see if anybody knew who that was. That was such a long time ago. It was really cool to think back on how far I’ve come from the first one to four thousand, which is crazy.”

The energy in the arena was palpable. Curry sensed the excitement building as fans eagerly anticipated witnessing an incredible moment in sports history. He stated, “I could feel the energy and the buzz from the beginning of the game after I made my first three, even with the second one I shot and missed, it was an adrenaline rush that kept going throughout the game.”
