Florida Middle School Assistant Principal Faces Charges After Inappropriate Incident with Student

An assistant principal at a Florida middle school is currently on administrative leave following allegations of inappropriate behavior involving a 13-year-old student. According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Dr. Keiva Lark, 53, who serves at Lake Marion Creek Middle School in Poinciana, has been charged with lewd and lascivious conduct and lewd offenses against a student in a position of authority.

Incident Reported to Authorities

The situation came to light when the school’s principal notified law enforcement on April 4. Reports indicate that the male student was sent to Lark’s office after misbehaving in class by tossing a piece of paper during a test.

Unusual Requests in the Office

While in Lark’s office, the assistant principal allegedly instructed the student to rub her feet, claiming he did not have anything better to do with his hands. Witnesses, including the victim, confirmed that Lark then removed her shoes and placed her legs across the boy’s lap.

Thus, the interaction became more troubling. While the student was reportedly rubbing her feet, Lark criticized his technique, even demonstrating how to do it on his own arm and shoulder.
