United Nations Faces Criticism Over Holocaust Remembrance Day Controversy

On April 24, the State of Israel and Jewish communities worldwide observe Yom HaShoah, known as Holocaust Remembrance Day. This year’s commemoration comes amid rising concerns about Holocaust revisionism, which critics argue is being promoted by the United Nations.

The U.N. has initiated a campaign that appears to disconnect the Holocaust from its deep ties to Israel. Established by Israel in April 1955, Yom HaShoah was marked this year with a U.N. event at its New York headquarters that notably excluded Israeli involvement.

The U.N. Department of Global Communications organized the event, which did not feature any mention of Israel, raising alarms about the broader implications of such omissions.
