Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni addressed the rising fears during a press conference, urging the public to approach the situation calmly. Former homicide detective Ted Williams, who served in Washington, D.C., shared his perspective with Fox News Digital. He emphasized that the detectives working on these cases are keeping all possibilities open. Williams remarked, “The investigators who are conducting these investigations are not ruling out anything whatsoever at this stage. They are primarily at the preliminary stages of gathering evidence at each one of these death scenes to establish any connections between them and a single individual or individuals.”

He further cautioned against dismissing the idea of a serial killer too quickly, asserting, “I don’t think at this stage they’re waving off a serial killer.” Williams believes investigators are diligently trying to connect the dots among the various locations of the discovered bodies.
