In a remarkable display of viewer engagement, Fox News has solidified its status as the leading news brand on YouTube for three consecutive months. The network achieved an impressive 410 million video views in January, marking its second-best monthly performance ever on the platform, as reported by Emplifi.
Fox News surpassed its closest rival, NBC News, by an astounding 242 million views. This 145% lead highlights the largest gap between any two news brands in YouTube’s history, underscoring Fox News’ dominant position.
Other major news networks also reported their January viewing figures, with MSNBC trailing significantly at 153 million views. ABC garnered 140 million views, followed by CNN with 137 million, CBS News at 62 million, and The New York Times with a mere 7 million. These figures demonstrate the clear disparity in viewership among these news outlets.
The Fox News Channel celebrated its highest-rated January in history, marking 23 years of being the No. 1 network in cable news. In stark contrast, CNN and MSNBC have continued to experience notable struggles in maintaining their viewership.
The month also witnessed the launch of ‘The Will Cain Show’, which debuted to 3.5 million viewers, setting a record for the biggest daytime premiere in Fox News’ history. This further amplifies the network’s dominant presence in the cable news landscape.
Fox News aired the top 603 most-watched programs on cable news since Election Day. During January alone, the network recorded the top 270 cable news telecasts in the United States, further emphasizing its unrivaled popularity.
In terms of average viewership, Fox News Channel maintained an impressive 1.9 million total day viewers throughout January, solidifying its title as the most-watched network across all cable channels. During the critical primetime hours of 8-11 p.m. ET, the network dominated with an average audience of 2.8 million viewers.
This ongoing success reflects Fox News’ strategic approach to content creation and audience engagement, as well as its ability to resonate with viewers in an increasingly competitive news landscape.
As trends in media consumption continue to evolve, Fox News remains a formidable player, leading the charge in viewer retention and significant view counts. This rise showcases the network’s focus on delivering content that not only informs but also captivates its audience.
