Their aim is to support Sali Berisha, the leader of the right-wing Democratic Party, in his challenge against the dominant Socialist Party led by Prime Minister Edi Rama ahead of this Sunday’s parliamentary elections in Albania.

The team backing Berisha includes notable figures such as former Trump campaign manager Chris LaCivita, Trump 2016 campaign manager Paul Manafort, and strategist Tony Fabrizio, as reported by the Associated Press. LaCivita drew a parallel between Trump and Berisha, asserting that both have faced unjust persecution from Goverments that disregard democratic principles.

He pointed out the active role of the Soros family in shaping politics worldwide, suggesting that their influence often leads to political instability. He stated that Soros thrives in environments weakened by governmental insecurity, specifically mentioning Albania and Prime Minister Edi Rama as prime examples.

Challenges Facing Berisha in Albania

As the reigning Prime Minister, Rama is campaigning for a fourth consecutive term, promising to facilitate Albania’s accession to the European Union. However, his administration is also grappling with significant issues like corruption and political graft.
