Trump Promotes Monumental Bill Aimed at Countering Biden’s Policies
On Monday evening, President Donald Trump used social media to unveil his vision for the Big Beautiful Bill, emphasizing it as a chance to steer the U.S. away from what he termed four disastrous years under former President Joe Biden. Trump’s messaging seeks to rally support by promising sweeping reforms and significant economic relief for Americans.
In late May, the House approved the ambitious spending bill, which has now shifted to the Senate for further deliberation. The president is pushing for swift approval.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that the bill proposes substantial measures to balance the federal budget. According to him, this legislation includes not only the largest mandatory spending cut in history but also the largest tax cut ever. Moreover, he suggested that the bill would exempt tips, overtime pay, and Social Security for seniors from taxation—key provisions that he claims have strong support among 80 million voters who backed his policies in November.
Trump highlighted several critical elements of the bill, including expedited permitting for American energy resources and plans to replenish the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. He claimed the bill would revolutionize air travel in the U.S. through the purchase of a new air traffic control system.
Strengthening National Security and Immigration Policies
Part of Trump’s vision for the bill includes constructing The Gold Dome, which he asserts will enhance the security of American airspace against adversaries. Additionally, he promised to fortify the U.S. border by extending the border wall and ramping up deportations of undocumented immigrants. Trump contends that these individuals were allowed entry under the Biden administration.
In his statement, Trump also vowed to eliminate Medicaid benefits for millions of undocumented immigrants and ensure that SNAP food assistance targets only American citizens. Further, he proposed to restore consumer choice and affordability in automobile purchases by repealing the Biden administration’s electric vehicle mandate and dismantling associated Green New Deal tax credits and spending.
Trump concluded his social media discourse by addressing concerns regarding minors seeking gender transition treatments, asserting that the legislation would cut funding for such initiatives, thereby protecting children’s welfare.

As the Senate reconvened on Monday, Trump urged his Republican allies to act quickly. He expressed a desire to see the bill on his desk ahead of the July 4 holiday. This urgency reflects his commitment to securing what he describes as a landmark legislative achievement.
In a separate statement, he responded to criticism regarding the bill, reiterating that it represents the single largest spending cut ever proposed. Trump emphasized that the legislation will not jeopardize crucial programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, which he insists will be safeguarded from Democratic mismanagement.
