Jasmine Crockett, a Democratic representative from Texas, shared her thoughts on the current political landscape during an appearance on Katie Couric’s podcast, “Next Question.” She expressed deep concern about what she perceives as a mental health crisis affecting those who continue to support former President Donald Trump.
Crockett stated unequivocally that all Americans, regardless of their political affiliations, should oppose Trump. She believes this stance transcends party lines, emphasizing that supporting Trump reflects a troubling mentality in today’s society.
Crockett’s Strong Words on Trump’s Actions
During the discussion, Couric asked Crockett for her take on Trump’s decision to deploy National Guardsmen and Marines to Los Angeles in response to protests against ICE. The congresswoman did not hold back, criticizing Trump for using government forces as a means of retribution, describing it as a dangerous action.
“It is sick, it is really sick and anybody that supports it is also sick,” Crockett declared. “We’ve got a mental health crisis in this country because everyone, no matter how you affiliate yourself, should be against Trump. Period.”
