EXCLUSIVE INSIGHT — As U.S. military actions target Iran’s nuclear capabilities, Israeli airmen have been conducting their own critical operations viewed as essential to Israel’s security and the broader effort to address the regime’s global threats.
In a unique interview with Fox News Digital, two members of the Israeli Air Force, a female combat flight navigator and a pilot whose identities remain undisclosed for security reasons, shared an insider perspective on Israel’s significant air campaign against Iran.
They revealed that this mission extends beyond national defense; it aims to confront a complex web of global threats.
“In recent days, we’ve engaged in precise and determined operations against the existential threat posed by the Iranian regime from western Iran to the heart of Tehran,” the female navigator explained.
“We have achieved air superiority, neutralizing critical infrastructure and dismantling over one-third of Iran’s missile capabilities. Each mission we undertake focuses on a singular goal: safeguarding Israel and ensuring the safety of its citizens. We will act whenever necessary to defend our homeland,” she added.
The operation commenced with a massive preemptive strike, triggered by intelligence reports indicating that the Iranian missile buildup and advancing nuclear program presented an immediate danger. Within hours, the Israeli Air Force initiated a synchronized wave of attacks targeting strategic military and nuclear sites across Iran.
So far, the Israeli Air Force has established complete air dominance, affording its aircraft the freedom to execute deep strikes with minimal resistance. Reports from Israeli defense officials indicate that dozens of fighter jets have targeted over 1,000 critical locations, including essential components of the Natanz uranium enrichment facility, long-range missile depots near Hamedan, drone production and command centers in Shiraz, and the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Tehran. They also targeted advanced Russian-made air defense systems, particularly the S-300 and S-400 batteries.
Speaking from a secure and undisclosed location, the IAF pilot characterized the operation as both operationally intense and profoundly personal.
“Throughout this operation, we have neutralized numerous missiles aimed at Israel and its civilians,” said the pilot. “It brings us great fulfillment and purpose, knowing we are dismantling the capabilities directed at our families and communities.”
Inside the cockpit, the pilot emphasized that there is no space for hesitation.
“In the cockpit, sentiments take a backseat. The mission is paramount. You’re highly focused on executing it as planned,” he stated. “On the return journey, there is more room to reflect and converse with fellow pilots; however, overall, everyone remains intensely concentrated on mission success to prevent any mistakes.”
While the campaign’s immediate goal is to protect Israeli citizens, the pilot recognized the global implications of their actions.
“Israel is now taking on the fight for the Western world. We are addressing the head of the serpent and tackling a threat that looms over everyone,” he remarked.
“Whether dealing with terror operations abroad, intercepting ballistic missiles, or confronting threats to maritime vessels in the Persian Gulf and Red Sea, we are engaged in a battle on behalf of the entire world. Yet, first and foremost, our duty is to protect our homeland,” he underscored.
The pilot pointed to Iran’s constant rhetoric about Israel’s destruction as a clear justification for their military operations.
“Missiles were pointed at us, their nuclear ambitions were directed at us. Iran has openly declared their intent to annihilate us through speeches and social media. Without our preemptive strike, they could have fulfilled that threat in a matter of years,” he argued.
For both Israeli airmen, the mission conveys a sense of duty and patriotism.
“There is a clear connection between our actions and the safety of the State of Israel,” said the pilot. “We are dismantling precision missiles aimed at our hospitals and homes. The nuclear program was intended to target us. Personally, it feels good to contribute to this mission, yet it is also humbling to be part of such a large-scale operation, where the Israeli Air Force and the nation collaborate closely.”
As the situation continues to evolve, the Israeli Air Force remains committed to its objectives. The focus remains sharp on ensuring that threats to Israel and its citizens are neutralized without delay. Moving forward, they will persist in their crucial role in what is shaping up to be a defining chapter in the ongoing conflict with Iran.
