Dez Bryant Predicts NFC East Team to Claim Super Bowl Title Amid Giants Critique

The NFC East has gained a reputation as one of the most challenging divisions in the NFL, but former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant stands firm in his belief that one of its teams will secure the Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2026.

During an engaging conversation at Fanatics Fest, Bryant asserted his confidence that the Super Bowl will emerge from the NFC East this upcoming season. He noted, ‘That’s the division to watch. I think the Super Bowl is coming out of the East this year.’

Earlier this year, the Philadelphia Eagles showcased their strength by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in a commanding performance, marking them as favorites once again in the NFC.

The Eagles have significant momentum heading into the season, especially with the return of key offensive players. Saquon Barkley, having received an extension recently, remains a central figure in Philadelphia’s offensive strategy.

However, Bryant’s allegiance firmly lies with the Cowboys. Under the new guidance of head coach Brian Schottenheimer, Bryant is optimistic about his former team’s prospects. After the Cowboys secured receiver George Pickens in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he believes the team’s offensive potential has expanded dramatically.

‘It opens up a lot,’ Bryant explained. ‘I don’t know how you don’t be successful with George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb on the field at the same time. It’s going to cause a lot of trouble. Schotty has to get in there and figure out the best scheme to score points. If we score points, we’re good.’

As the Cowboys gear up for training camp, Bryant plans to visit Texas and evaluate how Schottenheimer is shaping the team’s dynamics ahead of the first week of the season. He praised the new head coach for fostering a positive culture within the team.

‘I love everything he’s been doing as of late,’ Bryant stated. ‘You’ve got to give him his credit. He’s got the energy flowing in the building, the guys are happy to be there, and the guys would run through a wall for him. So, I’m looking forward to seeing what’s going on.’

Additionally, Bryant expressed his admiration for the Washington Commanders, who surprised many by reaching the NFC Championship Game for the first time in decades under rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. Although they fell to the Eagles in that matchup, the team’s future looks bright with Daniels leading the way.

Yet, not all teams in the division are generating the same level of excitement. Reflecting on the current landscape of the NFC East, Bryant did not shy away from taking a shot at the New York Giants. He commented, ‘The NFC East is crazy right now. Look at the Commanders, the Eagles, [the Cowboys] now. The Giants, they’re still at the bottom, I’m sorry. But [first-round pick Jaxson] Dart has a chance to be special.’

With the Giants facing tough matchups against both the NFC North and AFC West this season, the path to playoffs appears daunting. Led by expected starting quarterback Russell Wilson, the team faces challenges that may hinder their return to contention.

Despite his critique of the Giants, Bryant remains hopeful that the other three NFC East teams are primed for a competitive season. He emphasizes that he hopes for the Cowboys to return to the Super Bowl after decades of absence. The unfolding of the NFC East competition promises to be an exhilarating watch as the season progresses.

The anticipation surrounding the NFC East can be felt across the football landscape. As teams prepare for rigorous matchups, the chatter will only increase regarding who will ultimately rise to the top and make a deep playoff run.

The dynamics of the division, with teams continuously vying for supremacy, set the stage for a thrilling NFL season ahead. With Bryant’s insights adding to the excitement, the NFL landscape seems ripe for surprise outcomes and passionate rivalries.
