A Texas family is mourning the unexpected loss of a father of three after a lightning strike tragically struck him while golfing on a Sunday afternoon. Spencer Loalbo, 36, was enjoying a round at The Bridges Golf Club in Gunter, Texas, when the incident occurred.
The Gunter Police Chief, Danny Jones, reported that Loalbo was on the course with his father on June 8 when a sudden storm cloud quickly moved into the area. This was four hours before severe weather was predicted to hit. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as a lightning bolt struck Loalbo, fatally injuring him.
