The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office has identified the eight victims involved in the Lake Tahoe incident, which occurred on a Saturday afternoon, June 21. They reported the incident to law enforcement around 3 PM, prompting a swift response from the Coast Guard.
Initial reports indicated that ten individuals were in the water after a 27-foot Chris-Craft vessel capsized due to a significant swell. At the time, wind conditions reached speeds of over 34 mph, and the area experienced swells of 6 to 8 feet.
