Brett Cooper Reflects on her Journey from UCLA to Conservative Media Stardom

Once recognized as a child actor, Brett Cooper has emerged as a significant figure in conservative media. With a growing audience, her insightful commentary on political and cultural matters has captured the attention of millions across various platforms.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Cooper discussed her career trajectory as the host of “The Brett Cooper Show,” ahead of her live performance in Atlanta, Georgia. Recently, she signed on as a contributor for Fox News, further solidifying her role in the media landscape.

Finding Her Voice at UCLA

Cooper’s time at UCLA served as a pivotal point in her evolution. She noted that the political environment at the university and in Los Angeles often felt at odds with her conservative values.

“I went to UCLA and quickly realized that the acting path was not for me,” she explained. “This realization led me to explore production and the behind-the-scenes aspects of Hollywood, ultimately guiding me toward making videos.”

As she began creating content, Cooper attracted the interest of key conservative organizations, such as PragerU. She mentioned, “This engagement caught the attention of the Daily Wire, which eventually allowed me to kickstart my show and propelled my career forward.”

In January, Cooper launched “The Brett Cooper Show,” marking a significant step in her media career.

A Family of Debaters

Cooper described her upbringing as one steeped in political discussion, though she admits she initially did not engage deeply with current events.

“My family was always very vocal about politics, philosophy, and values,” Cooper shared. “We enjoyed debates at the dinner table, but I did not follow political trends closely.”

However, her college experience compelled her to reflect critically on her beliefs. “At UCLA, I encountered individuals intensely committed to their political views. This experience forced me to confront and reconcile the values I grew up with,” she said. “It was a crucial moment that urged me to assess whether I genuinely aligned with those beliefs.”

Navigating Political Differences

Initially, Cooper was apprehensive about emphasizing her political stance, particularly among peers who leaned liberal.

“I didn’t want politics to dominate my identity, especially since most of my friends were left-leaning,” she admitted. “But as time passed, they began to discern my beliefs.”

Cooper’s anecdotes from her college years starkly illustrate her experiences navigating a politically charged atmosphere. One story remains etched in her memory: “I once got hit in the head with a ‘Communist Manifesto’ at a party. They tossed it at me, insisting I should read it.”

The Courage to Speak Out

In 2020, Cooper gained attention for speaking out about the COVID-related lockdowns in Los Angeles. “I recorded a video expressing my views and was so scared in the moment that I tossed my phone aside afterward,” she recalled, reflecting on her initial anxiety about sharing her opinions publicly.

Now, her mission is focused on fostering understanding and dialogue among diverse viewpoints. “I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind,” she stated. “If I can provide new perspectives and encourage thoughtful discussion, I consider it a success. That’s the impact I hope to create within my audience and the broader community.”

Bridging Generational Gaps in Media

Cooper’s influence spans cultural, social, and political commentary, extending to all platforms under Fox News Media. Since launching “The Brett Cooper Show” in January, she has built an impressive following of over 9 million across social media platforms.

Fox News Media described her as a representative of the Gen Z conservative voice known for her insightful perspectives and sharp wit. “Young people crave authentic and independent voices in media. They are tired of hearing the same traditional punditry day in and day out,” Cooper remarked during her appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

A Bright Future Ahead

Cooper’s journey from a student at UCLA to a prominent media figure illustrates her resilience and the growing landscape of conservative commentary. Her ability to connect with a younger audience highlights the changing dynamics of media consumption.

Currently residing in Tennessee with her husband, Cooper remains committed to engaging her audience with fresh perspectives and honest discussions. As she forges ahead in her media career, her insights and experiences will undoubtedly continue to resonate with both admirers and critics alike.
