Woman Claims Urgent Message for Trump Arrested Near Mar-a-Lago

A woman was arrested after approaching Mar-a-Lago, claiming she had an urgent message for President Donald Trump and stating that firearms were inside her vehicle.

The individual, identified as Caroline Shaw, 49, from Orlando, was taken into custody on July 7 on charges of driving with a suspended license and failing to properly register her vehicle, according to court documents.

During the incident, Trump was in Washington, D.C., while Shaw allegedly drove a Mercedes van to the south gate of Mar-a-Lago shortly before 10 p.m. and parked along Southern Boulevard. Reports indicate that she walked to the security gate and told U.S. Secret Service agents that she needed to speak with Trump urgently.

Shaw alerted the agents about the presence of firearms in her vehicle. As a result of her statements, the Secret Service took her into custody while securing her vehicle for further investigation.

There has been no information disclosed regarding whether firearms were indeed found inside Shaw’s vehicle.

Records show that Shaw’s driver’s license had been suspended since April 23, 2023, due to unpaid traffic fines, and her vehicle registration had expired in December 2021.

On July 9, Shaw remained in custody at the Palm Beach County Jail on a $2,000 bond. During a court appearance on July 8, she entered a not-guilty plea, and a judge mandated that she stay away from Trump, Mar-a-Lago, and any of his properties.

In addition to the misdemeanors related to her vehicle, the Palm Beach Police Department also filed a request for a risk protection order to prohibit Shaw from possessing firearms or ammunition for at least one year.

Shaw’s situation is part of a series of recent incidents involving individuals attempting to access Mar-a-Lago.

Among the notable arrests include:

  • Zijie Li: A 39-year-old Chinese citizen from California, arrested on July 31 after multiple alleged attempts to enter Mar-a-Lago. Li was later deemed incompetent to stand trial.
  • Patrick Webster Warren: This 42-year-old from South Carolina was taken into custody on August 13 after jumping barricades and expressing his desire for Trump’s autograph.
  • Farbod Dolat: A 53-year-old from Sarasota was arrested on November 14 for allegedly driving a stolen vehicle to the estate in an attempt to meet Trump. He faces felony charges.
  • Ruby Rodriguez: A 62-year-old from California faced charges for trespassing in December after trying to gain access to the club. She received a probation sentence.
  • A teenager: Apprehended on December 5 after reportedly planning to graffiti the phrase ‘Carthage vs. Rome’ on the estate’s wall.
  • Bijan Arceo: A 32-year-old from Sunny Isles Beach jumped over the estate’s wall in January. He was diverted to a pretrial program involving community service and conditions to avoid future arrests or contact with the property.
  • Jeffrey Daniel Olson: Arrested in February for entering restricted grounds, facing federal charges.
  • Adrienne Tajirian: A 58-year-old from Pennsylvania attempted to dine with Donald Trump Jr. in April. She was sentenced to probation in May.
  • Anthony Thomas Reyes: A 23-year-old from Texas was arrested on June 3 after scaling the estate’s wall, claiming he wished to ‘spread the gospel’ and marry Trump’s granddaughter. He was released on a $50,000 bond after pleading not guilty to a misdemeanor trespassing charge.

These incidents highlight security concerns surrounding Mar-a-Lago as several individuals attempt unauthorized access to a property that serves as a high-profile residence and a political hub.

In light of recent events, it remains crucial for law enforcement and security personnel to thoroughly investigate claims made by individuals approaching secured areas. The urgency of messages conveyed during such incidents often requires immediate scrutiny, ensuring the safety of all involved.

The White House has yet to provide a formal reaction to Shaw’s arrest. However, as security dynamics continue to evolve around Trump and his properties, observers will look for any public statements or policy adjustments regarding security measures.
