That night proved to be sleepless for the actor as anxiety took hold. He noted that his daughter along with others at the camp were reported to be safe, but tragedy struck as he learned that another girl at the camp faced unimaginable loss.

Heartbreaking Loss in Community

Quaid revealed the devastating news that a fellow camper lost her entire family in the floods.

“One of the girls at that camp lost her whole family. They were camping in an RV along the Guadalupe River, and they were swept away,” he stated, illustrating the heart-wrenching impacts of this natural disaster.

Additionally, Quaid’s personal life intertwined with sorrow as his family friends, the Hunt family, suffered a significant loss. Clark Hunt, who owns the Kansas City Chiefs, lost his nine-year-old family member, Janie Hunt, due to the floods.

“I can’t imagine how devastating that would be,” Quaid expressed, conveying his empathy for the Hunt family and those affected by the floods.
