Recent catastrophic flooding in Texas has sparked serious concerns regarding potential weather modification practices. This has prompted the Environmental Protection Agency and various Congress members to launch investigations and commit to transparency on this contentious issue.
Marla Maples, co-founder of the Global Wellness Forum and an advocate based in Palm Beach, has long championed the cause of raising awareness about weather modification. She expressed her views in an interview with Fox News Digital, emphasizing the need for public understanding and scrutiny of these techniques.
“Weather modification refers to the deliberate attempts to control natural weather patterns by employing aerosol sprays containing substances like aluminum, strontium, and barium,” stated Maples. “Cloud seeding, for instance, utilizes silver iodide to boost precipitation, while other methods involve frequency-based technologies.”
Maples played a pivotal role in the passage of Florida Senate Bill 56, which prohibits releasing chemical compounds that can affect temperature, weather patterns, climate, or sunlight intensity. Notably, at least 24 other states have proposed similar legislation.
As of July 1, 2025, Florida became the first state to criminalize geoengineering and weather modification following a law signed by Governor Ron DeSantis.
“We must question who decides what happens in our shared atmosphere, especially when such practices occur without public knowledge or consent,” remarked Maples.
She advocates for enhanced transparency, safety, and public involvement in decisions pertaining to environmental and public health issues. Following the passage of SB 56, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier informed operators of public-use airports regarding the new law, which mandates reporting of geoengineering and weather modification activities.
“Injecting chemicals into our atmosphere to block the sun is a perilous route, particularly in Florida where sunshine is a vital resource,” Uthmeier emphasized in his notice.
Furthermore, Uthmeier expressed concern regarding the Texas flooding, implying that weather modification could potentially have played a role in the disaster.
In an effort to address public queries about contrails and geoengineering, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin recently announced two new online resources. “I have instructed my team to compile comprehensive information about contrails and geoengineering to share with you now publicly,” Zeldin stated in an online post. “I want you to know everything I know about these subjects without exception.”
Contrails, known as condensation trails that form behind airplanes, and geoengineering, which involves deliberate climate alteration techniques, remain topics of significant debate. Many people worry that certain contrails might contain chemicals used for weather modification, an area that the EPA is eager to investigate as part of its transparency initiative.
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia has also introduced a bill aimed at prohibiting the injection, release, or dispersion of chemicals into the atmosphere for the purpose of altering weather, temperature, climate, or sunlight intensity.
Augustus Doricko, CEO of Rainmaker Tech Corporation, commented on public apprehensions during a recent interview. He noted that his company utilizes 50 grams of silver iodide for each operation but clarified his stance on the absence of evidence suggesting a conspiracy involving the release of toxins into the atmosphere.
“Much of what I observe appears to be condensation trails created by aircraft,” Doricko remarked.
In addressing the claims surrounding weather modification, Maples shared her observations. “These aren’t the skies I grew up with in my small Georgia hometown, where the clouds were fluffy and the skies bright blue. I frequently witness high-flying planes creating persistent white streaks across the sky that spread throughout the day, obscuring the sun,” she reflected.
The former spouse of President Donald Trump and mother of Tiffany Trump believes that the impacts of geoengineering include chronic health issues, agricultural threats, and diminished Vitamin D exposure.
“I notice that when I observe heavy spraying in the sky, my clarity of mind diminishes and my energy levels drop. My ability to focus also suffers,” Maples revealed to Fox News Digital.
She urges Americans to pay attention to how they feel after spending time outdoors under skies rife with lingering contrails.
“Do you feel dizzy? Is your mind less clear? Are you noticing reduced energy or unusual headaches and sore throats?” she asked, stressing the importance of self-awareness in these matters.
Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has voiced his support for state initiatives aimed at banning geoengineering practices. He highlighted that twenty-four states are moving to prohibit such interventions that could introduce harmful substances into the environment.
A 2021 study from the University of Washington established a link between air pollution and neurodegenerative diseases, shedding light on the potential health impacts of environmental pollution.
Experts from institutions like Harvard University have previously asserted that aerosol injection technologies are not currently in use and are primarily theoretical. They maintain that any large-scale program would be highly visible and difficult to conceal.
A Harvard researcher specializing in solar geoengineering concluded that there is no credible evidence supporting the existence of chemtrails. Research indicated that for a conspiracy of such magnitude to exist, it would require a vast number of individuals maintaining secrecy, which is logistically implausible.
As the inquiry into weather modification progresses, the dialogue surrounding its implications for public health and the environment continues to expand, highlighting the necessity for informed public discourse.
