Nationwide, encounters with inadmissible aliens reached 25,243 in June, setting a record as the lowest monthly total ever recorded in U.S. history.
For the second consecutive month, the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that no individuals were released after being encountered. In May, similarly, not a single alien achieved entry after attempts were made to cross the border illegally.
