The acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has publicly addressed the alarming threats made by an Ohio man against ICE agents. The man, identified as 38-year-old Anthony Kelly from Cincinnati, faces serious federal charges for allegedly posting multiple threats online to shoot and kill ICE officers. The director described his remarks as both disturbing and unhinged.
Kelly’s social media activity included a notorious post that read, “#RevolutionIsTheSolution #DestroyICE they’re rabid dogs that need to be put down. Including #KristiNoem”. This inflammatory statement came to light through an announcement made by ICE on Tuesday.
Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons issued a strong statement emphasizing the severity of Kelly’s threats. He stated, “Let me be crystal clear: Threatening to kill a federal officer is not protest — it’s terrorism.” Lyons condemned Kelly’s violent outbursts, asserting that they represent a broader issue where politicians fuel anti-law enforcement sentiments.
According to Lyons, individuals like Kelly fail to recognize the crucial role ICE plays in public safety. He noted, “This is what happens when anti-ICE activists don’t realize or care that we’re out there arresting rapists, murderers and child molesters who are in this country illegally.
