FIRST ON FOX – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has apprehended a Jamaican national for reportedly attempting to buy a firearm illegally while serving as a reserve police officer in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
On July 25, federal agents, assisted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, detained Jon Luke Evans after his efforts to purchase a firearm raised serious questions regarding his immigration status in Biddeford.
Evans had entered the United States legally at Miami International Airport on September 24, 2023, with a visa that mandated his exit by October 1, 2023. However, he overstayed his visa, remaining in the country unlawfully since that date.
