Both suspects face charges of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder in relation to the manhunt for Drummond. Moreover, Tanaka Brown faces an additional charge of tampering with evidence.
Drummond, 28, is wanted for the alleged murder of four individuals last week in Tiptonville, Tennessee, situated approximately 125 miles from Memphis. The victims have been identified as family members of Drummond’s girlfriend. Authorities discovered an infant connected to the victims abandoned on the lawn of an unsuspecting resident.
U.S. Marshal Tyreece Miller emphasized the urgency of capturing Austin Drummond. Anyone with details about his whereabouts is encouraged to reach out to law enforcement. Importantly, they can remain anonymous. In a bid to encourage tips, the reward for information leading to Drummond’s arrest has risen to $17,500.
While the exact roles of Thomas and Brown in aiding Drummond remain unclear, the TBI has labeled them as associates. Authorities disclosed that Thomas was already in custody at the Madison County Jail on a separate charge for failure to appear. Subsequently, he will be transferred to the Lake County Jail to face new charges.
Currently, Brown is being detained at the Lake County Jail without bond, further complicating the investigation.
Austin Drummond faces an array of serious charges, including four counts of first-degree murder, one count of aggravated kidnapping, and several weapons offenses. The TBI has warned the public that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Last Friday, the Jackson Police Department reported that they had located a vehicle abandoned by Drummond. The vehicle was found along a dead-end road in Jackson, located about 70 miles southeast of Tiptonville.
The community is on high alert as the investigation unfolds, and law enforcement agencies continue to coordinate efforts to locate the fugitive.
The victims of this tragic incident have been identified as James M. Wilson, 21, Adrianna Williams, 20, Cortney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams, 15. Their untimely deaths have left a significant impact on the Tiptonville community, stirring up feelings of grief and outrage.
