The Israeli-American Council headquarters in Los Angeles was targeted with disturbing antisemitic graffiti over the weekend. Local law enforcement has initiated a hate crime investigation following this incident.
The vandalism was found at the Shepherd Community Center in Woodland Hills, which serves as the IAC’s primary hub for the local Israeli-American and American Jewish communities.
Graffiti including swastikas, symbols associated with the SS, and the word ‘burn’ marred the sidewalk in front of the building. Additionally, a nearby cardboard snowman was defaced with a swastika.
In a further act of vandalism, a barrier along Highway 101 was tagged with an expletive-filled message targeting Israel and referencing the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement. More swastikas were also visible in the vicinity.
