In a striking twist, the whistleblower underwent a follow-up interview with FBI agents in 2023, emphasizing the seriousness of the claims.

During the investigation, the whistleblower disclosed that he personally attended a meeting where Schiff purportedly authorized the leak of classified information. According to the documents, the meeting contained explicit instructions concerning targeting Trump.
In a statement referenced in the documents, it was noted, “When working in this capacity, [redacted staffer’s name] was called to an all-staff meeting by SCHIFF.” The content of the meeting reportedly indicated, “In this meeting, SCHIFF stated the group would leak classified information which was derogatory to President of the United States DONALD J. TRUMP. SCHIFF stated the information would be used to indict President TRUMP.”
