Eden celebrated her special day with a stylish outing in Los Angeles, where she was spotted exiting a hair salon sporting a vibrant red ensemble complemented by beige sandals and chic white sunglasses. At 94, she proves that elegance knows no age.
Throughout her illustrious 70-year career, Eden has appeared in over 25 films, 19 television movies, and starred in five different TV shows. Her breakthrough came as a recurring performer on ‘The Johnny Carson Show,’ yet she remains best known for her enchanting portrayal of Jeannie.
The series, which captivated audiences, centers on a 2,000-year-old genie who falls in love with astronaut Major Tony Nelson, portrayed by Larry Hagman. ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ aired for five seasons from 1965 to 1970, and its timeless humor continues to resonate with viewers today.
The show’s 60th anniversary anniversary will be celebrated on September 18, 2025, marking a significant milestone in television history.
In a candid interview with Fox News Digital, Eden shared her secrets for maintaining vitality well into her 90s. With a focus on healthy living, she emphasized the importance of physical fitness. Eden said, “I used to work out all the time. I used to do spinning classes and then do weights with a trainer… When COVID hit, that ended my heavy workouts. Now I have a stationary bicycle, and I lift five pounds. I use very lightweight weights, but they’re good for your bones.”
Though Eden enjoyed the camaraderie of gym workouts, she has adapted to exercising at home during the pandemic. She remarked, “I like the camaraderie, and I loved the spinning classes. It gets you going. And I’m not much of a self-starter. I have to remind myself to go to the bicycle.”
She encourages her fans to find exercise routines that resonate with them. “I remember when aerobics were all the rage. It was good for you. I tried it, but no, it wasn’t for me. But walking? Now that’s another thing. If you can walk briskly, which suits me just fine, that’s good for you. It’s good for your knees and ankles. I find it better than running,” Eden explained.
Additionally, she believes that diet plays a crucial role in health. Eden shared her upbringing influenced her eating habits. She said, “I was lucky to have a mother and father who were conscious of eating well and living. My mother’s mantra was ‘moderation of all things.’ That’s how they lived, and that’s how I’ve lived.”
Her culinary preferences reveal a refined palate and amusing sweet tooth.
