The original wording read: “Leave only one – you’re a genius. Leave two and you’re purty smart. Leave three and you’re just plain dumb. Leave four or mor’n you’re just plain eg-no-ra-moose.” This tagline playfully poked fun at those who struggled with the game, adding a light-hearted aspect to dining at Cracker Barrel.

However, the recent changes have altered that tone significantly. The new phrasing states that if players leave three or more pegs, they should remember, “Don’t be embarrassed, try again!” Spelling inaccuracies also drew attention, as the word
