Trump Orders Envoy to Alert Qatar on Israeli Military Action

The White House disclosed on Tuesday that President Donald Trump swiftly instructed his Middle East special envoy, Steve Witkoff, to notify Qatar about an impending military strike by Israel.

Israeli forces reportedly targeted high-ranking Hamas leaders in Doha, launching what they labeled as a precise military operation. During a press briefing, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “This morning, the Trump administration learned from the United States military that Israel was conducting operations against Hamas, which unfortunately fell within a section of Doha, the capital of Qatar. Unilaterally bombing in Qatar, a sovereign ally of the United States, undermines both Israel’s and America’s objectives in the region.”

Leavitt clarified the administration’s stance on the objective to eliminate Hamas, stating, “Ending Hamas, which thrives on the suffering of Gazans, is a commendable aim. President Trump promptly directed special envoy Witkoff to communicate the news of the pending attack to the Qatari government, which he successfully did.”
