Fox News Unveils New Weekend Lineup Reflecting Commitment to Comprehensive Coverage

Beginning Saturday, September 20, Fox News Channel will introduce a brand new weekend programming lineup. This development was announced by Jay Wallace, President and Editor-in-Chief of FOX News Media, on Wednesday.

Revamped Programming Features Notable Hosts

In a significant shift, Kayleigh McEnany, co-host of ‘Outnumbered,’ will host her own program titled ‘Saturday in America’ at 10 a.m. ET on Saturdays. Additionally, Griff Jenkins will join ‘FOX & Friends Weekend’ as the third co-host, teaming up with Rachel Campos-Duffy and Charlie Hurt.

Introducing The Sunday Briefing

A new show, ‘The Sunday Briefing,’ will premiere on Sunday, September 21. Senior White House correspondents Peter Doocy and Jacqui Heinrich will rotate as weekly solo anchors at 11 a.m. ET. This addition aims to provide timely insights into weekly political developments.

Expansion of The Big Weekend Show

Johnny Joey Jones and Tomi Lahren are set to co-host the revamped ‘The Big Weekend Show.’ With the program expanding to three hours on Saturdays and Sundays at 5 p.m. ET, it promises to deliver a diverse range of perspectives and engaging discussions.

Commitment to Quality Coverage

Jay Wallace emphasized the network’s focus on enhancing weekend offerings, stating, ‘As we expand and innovate our weekend programming, we are proud to bring our audience unrivaled depth and expertise.’ This evolution underscores FOX News Media’s ongoing leadership in news and opinion content.

Changes in Key Roles

As part of the lineup overhaul, Howie Kurtz will step down as host of ‘MediaBuzz.’ He will transition to a role as a political media analyst with Fox News. The final episode of ‘MediaBuzz’ will air on September 14, concluding a successful 12-year run in the 11 a.m. ET slot, where it consistently outperformed its competitors in cable news.

Howie Kurtz Reflects on His Tenure

Wallace highlighted Kurtz’s contributions, remarking, ‘For more than a decade, Howie Kurtz has served as the lead authority for media coverage in cable news, and we look forward to continuing his smart analysis across our programming.’ Kurtz will maintain a presence on FOX News Media platforms, including the ‘Media BuzzMeter’ podcast and contributions to Fox News Digital.

Saturday in America with Kayleigh McEnany

‘Saturday in America with Kayleigh McEnany’ aims to provide a comprehensive examination of the headlines shaping the news cycle. The program will include discussions with prominent figures from various sectors of the political landscape. McEnany will continue to co-host the popular weekday program ‘Outnumbered.’

Focus on the White House in The Sunday Briefing

‘The Sunday Briefing’ will explore a range of topics relating to the White House, including President Donald Trump’s recent national and international decisions and critical issues facing the current administration. Both Heinrich and Doocy have been covering the White House since 2021, bringing extensive knowledge and insight on the administrations of both Biden and Trump.

With its revamped programming, Fox News is set to enhance its weekend offerings and maintain its significant presence in the media landscape.
