Georgetown Students Express Alarm Over Controversial Flyers Celebrating Charlie Kirk’s Assassination

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Students at Georgetown University reacted with fear and dismay upon discovering flyers displayed on campus that praised the murderer of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. The flyers surfaced on Wednesday, sparking a strong backlash among students and the broader community.

Jordan Van Slingerland, a senior majoring in international politics, shared his initial reaction. He stated, “My first emotion was fear. What happened to Charlie Kirk deeply affected myself and many of my friends on this campus, and seeing the language associated with the assassin definitely unnerved me.” This incident has stirred up emotions and raised concerns about the safety of conservative students on campus.

According to reports, the flyers remained visible for roughly 30 minutes before being removed. However, more copies appeared the following night, containing a photo of Charlie Kirk alongside slogans like “Follow your leader” and “Rest in p-ss Charlie.” Video evidence recorded a Georgetown University police officer dismantling the flyers the next day.
