Sheriff Judd explained that 21-year-old worker Yoan Soto attempted to convey this to customers Nicholas Jones, 18, and Peter Story, 20, as they attempted to place an order through the drive-thru.

Confrontation Escalates in Drive-Thru

Soto, while maintaining a polite demeanor, informed the two men that the restaurant was unable to fulfill their request due to the high volume of online orders.

“Hey, sorry guys, we’re way behind, our online orders are overwhelming us,” he reportedly said. However, rather than understanding the situation, the customers responded with threats against Soto.

Threats and Violence Erupt

Following Soto’s explanation, Jones and Story allegedly declared, “We’re going to hang out here. When you get off, we are going to beat you up.” Their threats escalated as they confronted a young worker simply following his manager’s instructions.

Soto advised the men that he wouldn’t finish his shift until 4 a.m. and returned inside the restaurant. The situation intensified when Jones and Story decided to park and enter McDonald’s, where they continued their intimidating behavior.

Sheriff Judd recounted that the altercation transformed into what he described as a “McArgument” over food and service. During the confrontation, one of the men allegedly claimed to possess a firearm, referred to as a “switch” with a “30-clip.” In a surprising turn, Soto replied that he also had a gun.
