“The teachers’ unions have brought chaos to our state. They have opposed every reform and disregarded parents’ rights. Their radical ideologies have infiltrated our classrooms. They need to be dismantled,” Walters emphasized.

He elaborated on his strategy, stating, “Our first step is to assist teachers in exiting the unions. After they leave, we aim to create a network of America First educators who genuinely want to return to teaching core subjects like math, reading, history, and science. And when I mention history, I refer to authentic American history, not the skewed narratives that are increasingly found in our classrooms today.”

What Motivated the Expansion?

Walters articulated the rationale behind the initiative to launch Turning Point USA chapters in all Oklahoma high schools. He remarked, “The demand is clear from students, parents, and teachers alike. Everyone wants this change.”

We have established a presence in all 50 states, and any characterizations of my resignation as a victory for them are misguided.
