Recent revelations about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a now-deported individual with a history of violent behavior, have raised significant concerns. Accused of being a member of the infamous MS-13 gang, Abrego Garcia reportedly lived illegally in Maryland before his deportation.
Documents obtained by Fox News detail a disturbing pattern of domestic violence alleged by his estranged wife, Jennifer Vasquez. In court filings from 2021, Vasquez described multiple incidents of physical abuse, providing evidence that suggests a troubling history of violence.
The allegations, penned by Vasquez in her own handwriting, paint a grim picture of the couple’s relationship. At just 29 years old, Abrego Garcia has been described as a “violent” repeat offender who left Vasquez fearing for her safety. She detailed instances in which he punched her, leaving bruises and other injuries.
In one account, Vasquez recalled a time in November 2020 when Abrego Garcia reportedly struck her with his work boot. Earlier that same year, she described how he punched her in the eye, resulting in severe bruising. Such testimonies are indicative of a broader issue concerning domestic violence.
“At this point, I am afraid to be close to him,” Vasquez wrote, emphasizing her fear of further attacks. She highlighted specific instances where he physically assaulted her, including an incident where he allegedly ripped her clothing and left marks on her arm.
Further complicating the narrative around Abrego Garcia, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released documentation affirming his association with MS-13. As part of a wider crackdown on illegal immigrant crime, the DHS argues that the characterizations presented by some political factions do not align with the reality of his actions.
According to a Prince George’s County Police Department interview report, Abrego Garcia was discovered loitering with other known MS-13 affiliates in a Home Depot parking lot during a murder investigation in 2019. The police report stated that he was in possession of illegal substances, raising further alarm about his activities.
The investigation illuminated Abrego Garcia’s status within the gang. He was labeled as an active member, holding the rank of
