Archaeologists have recently uncovered the long-lost residence of Harold Godwinson—better known as King Harold II—thanks to the remarkable finding of an 11th-century latrine. This significant discovery occurred in Bosham, a picturesque village located on the coast of West Sussex, England. The revelation was made public by Newcastle University in a news release issued on January 28.
King Harold, a central figure in the Bayeux Tapestry, was famously killed during the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The tapestry depicts his residence in Bosham multiple times, illustrating Harold as he prepares for his journey to France.
