Boulder GOP Chair Criticizes Policies After Molotov Cocktail Attack on Pro-Israel Rally

In the wake of a recent terrorist incident that shook Boulder, Colorado, the local GOP chair has sharply criticized the policies of state and local officials. These policies, which aim to protect undocumented individuals, have been labeled as a troubling trade-off between law and tolerance.

The arrested individual, identified as 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, reportedly hurled Molotov cocktails into a crowd of peaceful pro-Israel demonstrators situated close to the Boulder County courthouse. Witnesses claim he shouted, “Free Palestine,” as chaos ensued.

This shocking attack resulted in injuries to twelve individuals, with eight suffering burn injuries, underscoring the severity of the event, which occurred just prior to the Jewish holiday of Shavuot.

In a discussion with Fox News Digital, Boulder County Republicans Chair Peg Cage expressed profound concern over the media attention being drawn towards antisemitism in the wake of this attack. She stated, “Antisemitism is a pressing issue, and the violence witnessed was symptomatic of broader problems. Instead, he remained in the country and even applied for U.S. work authorization approximately one month after his arrival.

This work authorization was granted to him on March 29, 2023, and remained valid until March of this year. This troubling timeline has raised questions about the oversight surrounding immigration procedures.

Cage reflected on Soliman’s motivations, suggesting he acted with a sense of impunity. “He waited until his daughter graduated, which indicates he had nothing to lose at that point. By then, he was in the country illegally, and he still chose to commit such a heinous act,” she shared.

The timing of this attack coincided with an event organized by
