Community Uplifted by Pastor’s Prayer for Delivery Driver After Order Mix-Up

A pizza delivery mishap has sparked a wave of kindness and generosity, going viral for its heartwarming message.

Pastor Neal Seiwert, who serves in Castle Rock, Colorado, found himself in a unique situation over the weekend when he placed an order with Papa John’s for his family.

When delivery driver Suzanna arrived, she quickly realized that there had been an error. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Seiwert recounted her surprise when she discovered she had the wrong order.

“I’m sorry, I’m getting old,” Suzanna explained, noting that she misread order numbers. The Seiwerts were actually order No. 67, while she had brought order No. 57.

“I screwed up. I’m sorry,” she added, visibly distressed by the mistake.

The pastor responded with compassion, saying, “Don’t you, for one second, feel bad. We love you and Jesus loves you. And we hope you have a great night.” This simple act of kindness set the tone for what unfolded next.

A Moment of Connection

Rather than just accepting the wrong delivery, Seiwert, along with his wife and their three young daughters, stepped outside onto their porch. They approached Suzanna and placed their hands on her shoulders. At that moment, they prayed for her.

“When she was explaining herself, I really felt the love of God for her and wanted to do anything I could to relieve any pressure and anxiety she was feeling,” Seiwert shared.

Seiwert emphasized the importance of showing compassion for strangers. He believes such moments can provide an opportunity to shine their light and help someone feel loved.

Sharing God’s Love

His desire was not only for Suzanna to feel the warmth of his family’s love but also to experience what he referred to as God’s love. In his heartfelt prayer, he said, “Jesus, we thank you for Susanna, and Lord, I thank you that we crossed paths tonight. In fact, Lord, she’s more important than any of these orders tonight because you matter to her. She matters to us.”

The sincerity of the moment was captured on their Ring camera and quickly made its way to social media platforms, garnering an astounding half a million likes on Instagram and over five million views across various channels.

“Lord, I just pray you would bless her. I pray that you would open the windows of heaven over her and bring any healing she needs to her body in the name of Jesus,” Seiwert concluded his prayer fervently.

Fundraising Efforts Amid Support

In the days following the incident, the Seiwerts sought out Suzanna with a meaningful request. They wanted her permission to establish a GoFundMe page aimed at helping her address her needs.

Seiwert expressed his gratitude at the overwhelmingly positive response to their initiative. The fundraiser successfully surpassed its original goal of $25,000 within just two days, demonstrating the strong sense of community support.

He reflected on how touching it was to see the outpouring of positive feedback, many saying that the story moved them to tears.

Spreading Love and Hope

“So many people are commenting on how it brought them to tears. There are many people who simply just need love,” Seiwert said, highlighting the profound impact of conveying love and care to others.

He reiterated the intention behind their act: “We love. We point to Jesus. We know the situation is too big for God. It’s often in the small moments that we have huge opportunities to reach a broken and hurting world.”

The story resonated deeply with many online. One reader commented, “This brought tears to my eyes. God bless that family.”

A New Chapter on the Horizon

The Seiwerts are currently preparing for a significant transition, as they plan a move to Wichita, Kansas, at the end of this year. They are set to establish a new church called Harvest House, where they hope to continue their mission of spreading love and compassion.

This heartwarming episode serves as a reminder that even in moments of chaos, empathy and understanding can create impactful change. The story of Pastor Seiwert and his prayer for a delivery driver exemplifies how kindness can ripple through a community, igniting a spirit of generosity and connection.
