Craig Morgan Celebrates Renewed Patriotism Amid Trump Administration Policies

Country music star Craig Morgan believes the Trump administration is ushering in a renaissance of patriotism across America. In an interview with Fox News Digital, the 60-year-old singer expressed his enthusiasm for the swift policy changes that have taken place since President Trump began his second term.

As Morgan gears up for a tour with Blake Shelton and prepares to release his new EP titled “American Soundtrack,” he shared his insights on the administration’s impact on American morale, particularly among military personnel.

Pride in Service and Citizenship

“I’m already seeing the changes that I want to see,” Morgan remarked. He emphasized that the most significant shift is a renewed sense of pride in the nation. This pride extends to the men and women who serve in the military.

“They should be proud of their service to their country,” Morgan stated, reflecting on the intrinsic connection between military service and national pride. He believes that service members deserve to feel pride that goes hand in hand with humility.

Throughout his life, Morgan has maintained that the military uniquely blends pride and humility. This balance, he argues, serves as a foundation for patriotism.

Optimism for the Future

In addition to military pride, Morgan expressed optimism regarding the current state of the economy and national security under Trump. “Economically, everything that’s going on in our nation right now is good,” he claimed. While he acknowledged forthcoming challenges, Morgan believes that overall confidence in national stability remains strong.

“If we are not a secure nation, all of the other things don’t matter,” he added. Morgan feels that steps are being taken to enhance security and that positive changes are on the horizon.

A Lifelong Commitment to Service

Morgan’s commitment to service began in 1989 when he enlisted in the United States Army. He participated in Operation Just Cause in Panama, a mission aimed at ending the dictatorship of Manuel Noriega. Morgan also served two tours in Iraq during the Gulf War, with deployments to the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions.

After a decade of active duty, he transitioned to the Army Reserve as his music career gained momentum. He served in the reserves for another seven and a half years before fully dedicating himself to his music.

Sharing Valuable Experiences

Throughout his military career, Morgan held various roles, including staff sergeant and fire support specialist. His extensive training includes airborne and air assault certifications, among others. Even after leaving active service, Morgan felt compelled to assist those in need. In 2017, he ventured to Thailand with Exodus Road, a nonprofit organization focused on rescuing children from human trafficking.

In addition to his humanitarian efforts, Morgan has earned accolades such as the Army’s Outstanding Civilian Service Medal and the USO Merit Award for his continued commitment to serving those who serve.

Impactful Military Memories

Reflecting on his military journey, Morgan identified key moments that profoundly impacted him. His first experience in Panama stands out as a significant formative event. “My very first single on country radio was a song called ‘Paradise,’ which talked about my time serving in Panama,” he reminisced, explaining how this experience has shaped his career and friendships over the years.

Today, many of the bonds forged during his service with fellow soldiers remain intact, thanks in part to social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Morgan fondly recalled when he re-enlisted into the Army Reserve in July 2023 at the age of 59, a moment celebrated on stage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.

A Special Moment Reunited with Duty

Recalling his decision to re-enlist, Morgan noted, “I stepped away from the military for a while to dedicate time to my music. When I reached a point in my career where I could return, it felt special to reconnect my two lives on the Grand Ole Opry stage.”

Upon returning to the reserves, Morgan initially held the rank of staff sergeant before being promoted to warrant officer in February 2024. His military service continues to be a vital part of his identity.

Musical Aspirations and New Beginnings

In tandem with his military commitments, Morgan is also focused on his music career. He is excited about the upcoming release of his EP “American Soundtrack,” where he co-wrote five of the six tracks. During the interview, Morgan described the inspiration behind the album.

“Music is my driving force,” Morgan explained. He articulated that the project sought to reflect how music impacts their lives rather than merely creating great songs. He emphasized that the values of God, family, and country serve as the foundation of his music.

Looking Ahead to the Tour

Launching into the summer, Morgan will join Blake Shelton on the 2025 “Friends & Heroes” tour, which kicked off in Lexington, Kentucky. The tour also features Trace Adkins, Deana Carter, and Emily Ann Roberts, continuing through to September.

Prior to the tour, Morgan expressed enthusiasm about reconnecting with friends. “Blake Shelton and I have been dear friends for a long time and might be the closest friend I have in the music industry,” he said. He also highlighted his camaraderie with Trace Adkins, sharing mutual respect for their service to the country.

As Morgan prepares to join his fellow artists on the road, the blend of patriotism, music, and friendship will undoubtedly create a memorable experience for him and his audience.

Embracing the Journey

With his deep sense of patriotism, commitment to service, and dedication to music, Craig Morgan’s journey illustrates the power of blending multiple passions. As he embarks on this new chapter, both colleagues and fans alike look forward to his next steps, reflecting on the values that continue to define his life.
