Longtime sportscaster Dan Patrick recently shared his views on the delicate relationship between Caitlin Clark and the WNBA, emphasizing that the league could benefit more from Clark’s stardom than she needs the league. His remarks surfaced during discussions surrounding recent contentious collective bargaining agreement negotiations.
In a private conversation, Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier relayed WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert’s stance on Clark’s contributions. Engelbert reportedly suggested that Clark should be grateful for the league providing her a platform that has enabled her to secure $16 million in off-court earnings.
