Staley noted her admiration for icons like Pat Summitt and Melanie Balcomb, saying, “I was drawn to the competitive environment of the SEC and the opportunity to grow as a coach by competing with the best in the business. Plus, my family’s roots were originally from South Carolina, adding a personal touch to my decision.”
