Demi Tebow, the wife of former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow, is on a mission to help individuals recognize their inherent value and self-worth, especially during challenging times filled with struggle and uncertainty. Through her initiative of sharing bite-sized truths, she aims to provide comfort and support to those grappling with self-doubt.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Tebow discussed various topics, including her recently released 100-day devotional titled Knowing Who You Are Because of Who God Is. The conversation also touched on profound themes, such as the tragic death of Charlie Kirk, who she described as a person who stood courageously for his beliefs.
As Tebow pointed out, many individuals today find themselves grappling with questions about their self-worth. They often seek validation in incorrect places, which can lead to a consistent cycle of self-doubt. Her intention was to address these concerns directly.
“Doubt can creep in when the enemy tempts us to question our worthiness, our value, and our purpose,” she stated, emphasizing the importance of grounding oneself in faith. According to Tebow, the Bible offers the unchanging truth that reassures believers of their worth in God’s eyes.
Tebow shared how relying on Biblical teachings has enriched her own life. She expressed, “The ways that Jesus loves us, cares for us, and has a perfect plan for each of us helped me during times of waiting, frustration, and confusion. I continuously find myself returning to that truth.”
Recently, she celebrated the birth of the couple’s first child, Daphne, in August. The experience of motherhood has provided her with a fresh perspective on life, prompting her to reevaluate her priorities and beliefs.
With palpable enthusiasm, Tebow spoke about her aspirations for her daughter. “Tim and I have prayed for Daphne’s life, hoping she will perceive the unique calling that God has for her,” she explained. “It is my desire for her to understand that there is a perfect plan laid out for her by God.”
Tebow dedicated her new devotional to Daphne and wrote the book during her pregnancy. “Tim and I often engage in lighthearted discussions, speculating about the things she might enjoy or pursue. Our overarching prayer is that she will embrace her calling, ruling and reigning in her unique way.”
Moreover, she highlighted the prevalence of societal pressures that shape people’s perceptions of self-worth. “It is all too easy to gauge our value based on what others say or what social media promotes as significant,” she remarked.
Tebow reinforced her belief in the enduring love of God, asserting that His love and the identity He has given each person remain unchanged. Citing her background as the 2017 Miss Universe, she illustrated the pitfalls of placing value on fleeting titles and accolades.
“The message from 1 Corinthians 9.25 resonates deeply with me. It asserts that while athletes train for temporary crowns, we strive for an eternal significance,” she added. “The pageant I participated in offered a crown, but that physical accolade eventually lost its meaning.”
Reflecting on her past, Tebow expressed a genuine belief in the lasting influence individuals can have on one another’s lives. “I am hopeful that the lessons conveyed through this book will inspire readers to focus on making impactful contributions to others,” she stated.
Ultimately, she reminded her audience of the responsibility each believer carries: to reflect God’s greatness and to discover their true identity through Him. “Understanding who we are in God’s eyes shapes our journey and purpose in profound ways,” she concluded.
In a world overflowing with distractions and potential sources of false validation, Tebow’s message stands as a beacon of hope. Her insights encourage many to seek a deeper understanding of self-worth rooted in faith, rather than in the fluctuating standards of social media.
