The controversy began when Politico released a two-minute recording from a May 15 Zoom call where DNC Chair Ken Martin is heard criticizing Hogg’s influence on his leadership. At just 25 years old, Hogg entered the role of vice chair in February. Currently, he faces the possibility of ouster due to tensions with party leadership. Kenyatta stated, “A human being had a frustrating day at work. That’s all Ken expressed on that call – I was there.” His remarks emphasize that dissent within party ranks could have lasting repercussions.
