Empowering the Next Generation: Karoline Leavitt’s Message for Young Women at CPAC

At the Conservative Political Action Conference, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed a vibrant audience, sharing her insights with young women across the nation. Leavitt emphasized the importance of self-belief, urging them to stay resilient and truthful in their pursuits.

During a fireside chat hosted by former White House communications director Mercedes Schlapp, Leavitt reflected on her journey as the youngest press secretary in U.S. history and how her experiences can inspire others. Schlapp highlighted that many young women look up to Leavitt, drawing motivation from her achievements.

Encouragement and Empowerment

When asked about her message to young women, Leavitt responded firmly, “Stay strong, speak the truth, and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t achieve your dreams. Just believe in yourself.” Her words resonated with the audience, who appreciated her straightforward approach.

Leavitt acknowledged the challenges that come with self-doubt, saying, “There will be a lot of people who don’t believe in you, who cast doubt, who talk badly about you.” To counter this negativity, she decisively added, “Screw ‘em,” prompting laughter and applause from the crowd. This bold declaration illustrated her commitment to fostering a positive mindset among young women.

A Legacy of Leadership

At just 27 years old, Leavitt has made significant strides in her career. She began as a press aide in the first Trump administration, worked for Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, and eventually led her own campaign for New Hampshire’s 1st congressional district in 2022. Most recently, she served as the national press secretary for the 2024 Trump campaign.

However, Leavitt also took time to recognize the talented women in the current administration. She stated, “Look at the White House and the exceptional Cabinet President Trump has put together. We don’t focus on identity politics, but the president has appointed remarkable women in key positions.”

Celebrating Female Representation

Leavitt mentioned several women who are making history in leadership roles. Notably, she referred to Susie Wiles, the first female chief of staff in U.S. history, and Brooke Rollins, who heads the Department of Agriculture. She continued to list extraordinary women, including Linda McMahon, leading the Department of Education.

“The White House is full of working women,” she remarked. Leavitt recounted an encounter in the West Wing, where she saw two pregnant colleagues who are actively contributing to their roles while preparing for motherhood. This observation illustrates not only the diversity of the current administration but also the growing number of women in influential positions.

A Personal Journey

Leavitt recently embraced motherhood, sharing her joy about her seven-month-old baby boy. “It is the best thing ever,” she expressed regarding her new role as a mother, highlighting the balance between her career and family life.

When reflecting on her motivations, Leavitt emphasized the future of the children in the nation. “I am doing this for him and for all of the other children in this country. We have a country to save,” she asserted passionately. Her vision for her son mirrors her desire for children everywhere to grow up in a free, patriotic America.

A Call to Action

Leavitt’s message is more than just encouragement; it’s a call to action for young women to pursue their ambitions and maintain a vibrant belief in their capabilities. Her experiences provide a roadmap for overcoming obstacles and thriving in environments that may not always be welcoming.

Ultimately, Leavitt stands as an example of how perseverance and self-confidence can open doors to incredible opportunities. Her journey serves as a powerful reminder for the younger generations that they can make a significant impact in their communities and beyond. The path may be fraught with challenges, but with determination and support, the sky is truly the limit.
