Uthmeier, who assumed office on February 17, is implementing an agenda aligned with the objectives of President Trump and Governor DeSantis. He emphasized the importance of immigration reform during a recent interview, stating, “My main focus is on delivering the agenda set forth by President Trump and Governor DeSantis, which begins with immigration.”
Appointed by Governor DeSantis, Uthmeier succeeded former Attorney General Ashley Moody, who transitioned to fill a seat in the U.S. Senate. At just 37 years old, Uthmeier holds the distinction of being one of the youngest attorneys general in Florida’s history.

He recounted a recent operation that dismantled an international child pornography network, shocking in its scale and brutality. Uthmeier affirmed, “Those involved in such activities will face the full wrath of my office, and we will leave no stone unturned to hold them accountable.”
