“In today’s football culture, if you don’t produce immediately, there’s pressure to move on. That creates immense stress for both coaches and players. Attendance issues or a lack of commitment are controllable factors, highlighting potential leadership deficiencies,” Decker said. “If players put in their best effort, then performance becomes more complex, but that’s not something easily managed.”

Decker remains optimistic that the Jets can turn their fortunes around but emphasizes the necessity of strong leadership to guide the team through these turbulent times. He stated, “It will turn around. Someone has to lead that charge from the top.”
