Former Leader of Socialist Group Remains on AOC’s Campaign Payroll Since 2018

EXCLUSIVE INSIGHT: A prominent figure within the Democratic Socialists of America has maintained a position on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign payroll since her initial Congressional run in 2018.

Frank Llewellyn, previously the director of the largest socialist organization in the United States and a founding member of its affiliated group, currently serves as the treasurer for Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign and her political action committee, Courage to Change.

According to Federal Election Commission filings reviewed by Fox News Digital, Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign has compensated Llewellyn with over $250,000 since 2018. The payments cover payroll, travel, and various administrative expenses, ranging from small stipends of $77.50 for cellphone and internet services to regular salary payments of approximately $1,281 every two weeks.

Apart from his contributions to Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign, Llewellyn holds a position on the board of the DSA Fund, a sister organization to the Democratic Socialists of America, as noted on the organization’s website.

Described as a foundation member of the Institute for Democratic Socialism, which eventually evolved into the Democratic Socialists of America Fund, Llewellyn has a history of activism within the organization since its inception in New York City. He served on its National Political Committee and acted as National Director for more than ten years.
