Fox News Channel Dominates Primetime Ratings for Third Week in a Row

During the week of July 7-13, Fox News Channel secured a larger primetime audience than NBC, CBS, and ABC. This marks the third consecutive week that Fox News has outperformed these broadcast networks.

Fox News averaged an impressive 2.4 million viewers in primetime, surpassing NBC’s average of 2.2 million and matching CBS and ABC, each with two million viewers.

Since Memorial Day, Fox News has consistently averaged three million viewers during weekday primetime, leading all of television. This dominance includes competition not only from ABC, CBS, and NBC but also from other networks. Furthermore, since the official start of summer on June 20, Fox News has maintained its leadership among weekday primetime viewership.

As Fox News continues to grow, insights from Fox Corporation’s COO indicate that this momentum is sustainable, particularly during the Trump era.

In 2025, Fox News has achieved the distinction of leading broadcast competition in primetime viewership three times from Monday to Sunday, while also experiencing success with weekday programming, achieving this sort of dominance over three consecutive weeks for the first time since 2020.

Moreover, Fox News led all of cable with an average of 1.5 million total day viewers. It accounted for 97 of the top 100 cable telecasts during the week, even amidst the high-profile coverage of Wimbledon.
