Fox News Digital Achieves Record Quarter with Unmatched Visitor Numbers and YouTube Success

Fox News Digital has set a remarkable milestone by achieving its highest ever quarter for multiplatform unique visitors

In the second quarter of 2025, Fox News Digital reported an impressive average of 138 million monthly total digital multiplatform unique visitors, as revealed by Comscore.

Leading the News Landscape

During this period, Fox News Digital secured the top position in multiplatform minutes among major news organizations. This includes well-known entities such as CBS News, NBC News, ABC News, CNN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and USA Today. The brand delivered an astounding 12.1 billion multiplatform minutes, marking a significant 31% increase compared to the same quarter in 2024.

In stark contrast, CNN managed a distant second place with 4 billion multiplatform minutes, experiencing a 27% drop from the previous year. The New York Times closely followed with 3.8 billion multiplatform minutes, reflecting a 22% year-over-year decrease.

Dominance in Multiplatform Views

Fox News Digital further asserted its dominance across the industry by outperforming all competing news brands in terms of multiplatform views. The platform achieved 5.8 billion views this quarter, a notable 19% increase from Q2 of the previous year. The New York Times ranked second with 4.4 billion multiplatform views, a slight decline of 4%, while CNN trailed behind with 2.8 billion multiplatform views, down 18% year over year.

Throughout June, Fox News Digital maintained its strong performance, leading all competitors in both multiplatform views and minutes, with consistent year-over-year growth across all metrics.

YouTube Performance Surges

Fox News Digital also excelled on YouTube, attaining 1.2 billion views in the second quarter, which represents a staggering 122% increase year over year. This achievement placed it ahead of all other news brands, according to Emplifi.

When comparing performance on YouTube, Fox News outpaced its competitors significantly. MSNBC garnered one billion views, followed by CNN with 659 million views, NBC News at 368 million views, ABC News with 345 million views, and CBS News at 164 million views.

Strong Showing Among News Brands

In addition to leading all news organizations in digital metrics, Fox News Digital also topped the rankings compared to other business brands on YouTube, with Fox Business generating 180 million views during the quarter.

Importantly, Fox News Digital, along with CBS News, NBC News, ABC News, and The Washington Post, has opted to include Social Incremental in calculating total digital multiplatform unique visitors. Meanwhile, brands like CNN and The New York Times have chosen not to include these metrics.

This decision enhances the accuracy of visitor metrics, giving a clearer picture of audience engagement and reach in an increasingly competitive news environment.

Emphasizing Audience Engagement

The latest data from Comscore indicates not only the visitor growth but also the increasing relevance of Fox News Digital in the digital landscape. By consistently delivering impactful news coverage and engaging content, the platform has succeeded in attracting a larger audience.

As the digital landscape continues to evolve, staying ahead of trends and understanding audience preferences will remain crucial. Fox News Digital’s achievements highlight its commitment to innovation and responsiveness to viewer demands.

Future Trajectory and Industry Impact

Looking ahead, Fox News Digital’s record-breaking performance sets a precedent for the news industry. The continued growth in unique visitors and multiplatform engagement indicates a shift in how audiences consume news content today.

With strategic decisions regarding platform engagement and content delivery, Fox News Digital is poised for continued success in an ever-changing media landscape. The competition will need to adapt swiftly to maintain relevance in response to Fox’s upward trajectory.

Fox News Digital’s remarkable success this quarter not only underscores its dominant position in the market but also signifies the changing dynamics of news consumption patterns. As the industry shifts, the findings from this record quarter provide insightful implications for broadcasters and digital platforms alike.
